Bamber & Co.'s Express. Black scroll printed frank on 1870 3¢ green entire to San Francisco, "Brooklyn, Cal, Oct 7" origin cds and partial blue "Bamber & Co. Express, S.F." circular date stamp, cover tears at top affecting frank, otherwise Very Fine.
Estimate    $150 - 200.

Carried by express and not in the mails, as the Brooklyn postmaster was also Bamber's express agent and used his official postmark as an express origin marking.
