Manuscript postmark (Williams ELD-) cancelling 1857 3¢ strip of 3 (minor bit of soiling) with manuscript "Due 1"(¢) alongside on blue 1860 folded letter to Missouri, folded letter with interesting contents regarding silver mining in the Coast Range near Clear Lake in Napa Co., California landscape & crops, Loafers who are lazy & play cards or billards & drinking Beer & Gin, etc., Very Fine, a very rare postmark of the short lived office.

Blue postmark (Williams ELD-920) on 1853-55 3¢ Nesbitt entire to New York additional franked with 1857 1¢ type V + two 3¢ dull red, all with manuscript cancel, manuscript notation at bottom left "Via Los Angels", some edge wear & small corner nick at bottom left, Very Fine.
