Great Britain, 1936 (September 4-5) England - New York Attempted Ocean Flight. Unaddressed cover franked with Great Britain ½d definitive, 6-line cachet at upper left and signed by pilot Beryl Markham, Very Fine, very scarce with only 26 covers carried. AAMC No. 1265.
Estimate    $200 - 300.

Even through Beryl Markham missed her intended destination of New York, making a forced landing in Nova Scotia, her flight was still the first solo east to west transatlantic flight ever made.

Iran, 1926-29 Riza Shah Pahlavi issue complete. In combination with 1926, 13c + 26c overprint and 1927, 13c + 1928, 2c airmail issues, on registered 1929 Bushire - Karachi first flight cover, flight cachet and various transit postmarks on reverse, some minor perf toning on a few issues, otherwise Very Fine.
