Montana & Idaho postal history, 1871-1928. Small accumulation of covers and cards with a range of town markings including manuscript Sunset, M.T., Minidoka, Idaho, Fort Benton, Mont., rare manuscript Camp Baker, Mont. on return receipt form, seven R.P.O. cancels, etc.

Ohio stampless covers, 1819-50's. 13 covers; includes various oval town postmarks with red 1851 Central College, blue 1836 Hudson, red 1840 Lodi, Lancaster and Painesville with fancy "Paid" in scroll, circular Colerain with Quaker date, etc., all clear readable strikes.

Ohio stampless covers, 1820-50's. 12 covers; nice range including 1839 red Lodi oval, red 1842 Kirtland arch postmark, rimless 1823 New Lisbon, 1833 Newark boxed postmark, various oval postmarks of Lebanon, Painesville and Hillsborough, Colerain circular with Quaker date, etc., readable strikes throughout.

Lot 2941    

Pennsylvania state postal history collection, 1830-90's. Approximately 1,000 covers in albums and mostly semi-arranged in boxes, a wide array of townmarks including various types, mostly franked covers with several dozen early stampless including manuscript, free franks, etc., 100's of early 19th century franked covers with a nice array of postmarks with very little duplication, includes some later fancy cancels, Blood's local, registered, better frankings, etc., later 19th century with 100's of bureau issue covers, some correspondence material with late 10¢ registered frankings, including mixed frankings, overseas usages, special delivery, etc., some 20th century items including R.P.O.'s; virtually all material with clear well struck town marks and some very nice early 19th century items, an excellent basis for further expansion.

Texas covers, 1872-1953. Approximately 100 covers, virtually all different postmarks throughout, including some scarcer early manuscript postmarks including 1872 Rural Shade, 1879 Woods, 1889 Huber & short-lived 1872 Richardsville, fair range of turn of the century and good range of later; condition mixed but better the the norm.
Estimate    $400 - 500.

[Virginia] Williamsburg, Va. postal history collection, 1785-1937. Over 60 items, wide range of material including folded letter datelined "Wmsburg 6th August 1785", 1799 document with embossed revenue, stampless covers including an additional 1785 folded letter to Williamsburg, various 1830-40 manuscript rates and town postmarks, "Steam", ad corner card, CSA cover postmarked Richmond, Va. with letter from Williamsburg, etc., early stamped with domestic usages including a nice array of postmarks through to the 1930's.
