Carr's Bangor Express/Boston. Black on green circular label (Mosher CARX-L4) on 1853 folded letter to Boston from Bangor (June 6, 1853) with manuscript "$100" at top left & "Paid" at bottom right, letter is regarding the order of 25 boxes of "best No. 1 fire crackers", undoubtedly for the 4th of July, label with piece out at top right & left side flap missing, Very Fine and rare.

Cheney & Co's Express. Lot of three covers, two with different printed corner card at top left (Mosher CHYX-C8, CHYX-C20) & cover with "Cheney & Co.Express/Manchester, N.H." label (Mosher CHYX-L2) affixed to Boston with original 1859 enclosure, Very Fine.

Cheney & Co's Express/Boston. Gold on black label (Mosher CHYX-L1) with manuscript endorsement "Cheney & Co. Express" at top right on 1850 folded letter datelined "Lebanon, N.H.", addressed to the "Treasurer Vermont Central R.R. Co." for payment of the "4th installment for 5 shares of the Vermont Central railroad company", endorsed "$25.00" at top left & "Paid 25" express charge at right and at bottom left "Please return the Script By Cheney's Express", also included is a similar label in red on white off cover, Very Fine and rare.

Manuscript endorsement on 1868 cover to Coll. of Customs/Bath, Maine with printed corner card of the "United States Treasury/Boston" at top right with manuscript endorsement "$25.75 Coin", original matching enclosure stating, "I send you enclosed twenty five dollars in coin of California which I cannot receive, sent in your remittance which arrived here this day, also fifty cents counterfeit silver & twenty five cents in silver which has been punched which I also cannot receive.", cover with Treasury wax seal on reverse, small cover tear at top, Very Fine.

Black on yellow label (Mosher LOTX-L1) with "Star City" in manuscript, affixed on reverse of legal size cover to San Francisco, front of cover with wonderful strike of "Langton's Pioneer Express/Star City" handstamp in red with matching "Paid" in oval with uncancelled pair of 1861 3¢, cover abrasion affecting oval where possibly a stamp was removed, some corner wear, Very Fine.

Livingston Fargo & Co./By The American Express. Blue company frank on 1853-55 3¢ Nesbitt entire to Loganport, Ind. with manuscript "Camb City/Mch 3rd" on frank, probably from Cambridge City, Ind., docketed 1857 with unusual "G. & C." handstamp, light cover aging, F.-V.F., a very rare item.
