Fiddletown, Cal. (Amador). Manuscript postmark (Williams AMA-340) on 1853-55 3¢ Nesbitt entire to Auburn, Cal., original enclosure included, written by Dennis Townsend, Postmaster, some slight edge wear, Very Fine and rare, the earliest recorded example of a Fiddletown postmark, after being transferred into Amador County from El Dorado County by boundary change.

Fiddletown, Cal. (Amador). Three different 1853-55 10¢ Nesbitt entires with Fiddletown postmarks, two with Collins type double rim cds (Williams AMA-350) and one with single line cds (Williams AMA-360), all from the "Belshaw" correspondence to New York, some minor faults, Fine and scarce.
