Clear strike of provisional handstamp with matching "Atlanta, Ga., Jun 5, 1861" postmark, on orange brown illustrated "Southern Confederacy" advertising cover with subscription rates below, addressed to Alexander Stephens in Crawfordville, Ga., cover tears and slight reduction at top with backflap missing, F.-V.F., a remarkable and extremely rare illustrated advertising cover, quite possibly unique; with 2002 C.S.A. certificate.

Used as a paid handstamp on folded letter to Bergens Store, Virginia, matching "Dalton, Ga, Jun 1, 1982" cds, slight cover aging and archival tape reinforcement, otherwise F.-V.F., still a very scarce post-provisional usage; with 1998 C.S.A. certificate.
