Tied by target cancel on 1877 cover from Kincardine to Australia, sent via Detroit with scarce red "Detroit Paid All" marking & San Francisco with scarce "Too Late" oval backstamp, cover neatly repaired, Very Fine appearance, a very rare rate & usage. SG No. 62d.

Canada, 1870-72, 1¢ orange + 3¢ rose + 6¢ yellow brown. Tied on 1872 cover to Switzerland from Ottawa by fancy cork, London transit at left, carried by the Allan Line ship "Scandinavian" via Belgium, backstamped Chur, Very Fine, rare 10¢ pre UPU rate, a stunning cover, ex-Lussey and Arfken.

Hyacinthe to Paris, paying the pre U.P.U. 10¢ per ¼ oz rate, by cork cancels, oval "PD" and London transit on face, backstamped with Paris receiver; backflap missing, Very Fine, very scarce & an attractive three color franking, ex-Arfken. SG No. 62.

Cancelled by straight line Registered handstamp on 1872 registered cover to England paying 14¢ rate (6¢ postage + 8¢ registry), postmarked "Whitby" cds with four additional strikes of "Registered" straight line handstamp, flap tear just extending onto front at bottom, Very Fine, a very unusual item. SG No. 63a.
