Mar 7" cds and "Fredericksburg, Va., Mar 16" receiving cds, cover forwarded to Gloucester C.H. with manuscript "Forwd 3", cover stain in address panel, Fine, an unusual U.S. used in Confederacy usage from Monroe, La. through Mississippi.

Tying U.S. 1857, 3¢ dull red + 12¢ black on 1861 cover to Cantelle, France, red "New York, Paid 3, May 25" exchange cds and reverse with French transit and receiving backstamps, 12¢ additionally tied by indistinct town, minor cover wrinkling, F.-V.F., a very scarce U.S. used in the Confederacy usage to France.
