Illustrated design showing Telegraph Machine & Telegraph Lines on 1852 cover to Cincinnati franked with 1851 3¢ dull red (Pos. 28R3, large margins to just shaving frameline) tied by "Rochester, N.Y." cds, original matching printed telegram included, cover with part of flap replaced with small sealed tear just extending onto front, Extremely Fine, a rare design.

Fancy illustrated corner card showing different methods of transportation including Messenger, Horse and Rider, Steam Boat, Clipper Ship, Rail Road, and a Turtle, all beneath the Lighting Bolt of the Telegraph, corner card with "No Charge" imprint alongside on cover to Rhode Island franked with 1851 3¢ brownish carmine (Pos. 17R2L) tied by wonderful strike of "Woodstock, Vt." cds in blue, an Extremely Fine gem, a stunning exhibition item.
