New York, N.Y., 1845, 5¢ black on bluish. Pos. 9, signed ACM connected, four large margins, tied by red grid cancel on 1846 folded letter to a forwarding agent in London, England who forwarded the cover to Trieste, stamp additionally tied by red "New York, 5 Paid, Dec 30" cds and red French entry postmark, rate manuscripts and four various transit backstamps, Extremely Fine, a fabulous usage and significantly rare provisional overseas and forwarding combination; with 1997 P.F. certificate.
