1847, 5¢ red brown. Four large margins including part of next stamp at bottom, tied by light blue "Philadelphia, Pa., 5cts" integral rate cds with second strike alongside, in combination with D.O. Blood 1850, 1¢ bronze on black local (acid tied), on small cover to New York, Extremely Fine, a lovely and rare usage, ex-West.

1847, 5¢ red brown. Four large even margins, lovely rich color and sharp impression, neatly tied by single strike of red numeral "5" handstamp on 1850 folded letter sheet to Winchester, Va., with blue "Baltimore, Md., May 13" cds, Extremely Fine, a wonderful item of exceptional beauty, ex-Lehman; with 1983 P.F. certificate.

1847, 5¢ red brown. Huge margins all around including part of adjoining stamp at bottom, tied by perfect strike of blue "Troy N.Y., Jan. 21" circular datestamp on blue 1850 cover to South Easton, N.Y., an Extremely Fine gem, a beautiful cover in every respect; with 2005 P.F. certificate.
