Canada, 1851, 6d slate violet, laid paper. Large margins, tied by central strike of target cancel on 1855 cover originating in Montreal to Bryants Pond, Maine, carried on the Grand Trunk Railway with "Mon. & Isld. P.O. Grand Tr'k R. Way, No. 4, Nov 2, 1855" cds and additional red oval "Paid" and matching straight line "By Grand Trunk Railway" handstamps, cover with sealed backflap tear, Extremely Fine and choice, a beautiful cross border usage via the "Grand Trunk Railway"; with 2004 P.F. and 1990 A. Rendon certificates. SG No. 2.
