Mexico, 1884-85 Hidalgo Issues, "Colleccion" handstamp specimen overprints. 15 different; 1884, 2c-20c, 50c, 1p & 10p issues, 1885, 2c, 5c, 10c & 25c issues, 1884 1p & 10p with blue overprints, others in black, 1884, 10p with only 2 to 3 known and the 1885, 25c is reported to be the first copy ever seen (both sound), condition mixed, F.-V.F. overall.

Mexico, 1884, 2c-25c Hidalgo issues, imperforate varieties. 6 horizontal pairs and strip; includes mint 2c & 4c imperf pairs (Follansbee #139U, 141U) and 3c & 25c imperf between pairs (140HUB, 147HUB), used 3c & 5c imperf between pairs (140HUB, 142HUB) and unused 12c vertical strip of three imperf between (145VUB); small faults to used and strip, otherwise Very Fine.

Victoria on 2c, 4c & 10c, Monterrey on 2c, Maravatio on 4c, Mascota on 10c, Tacubaya on 6c and Texcoco on 2c, also includes 4 later issues with Maravatio overprints; condition a little mixed, F.-V.F. overall, a rare group.

Nine "Saltillo" overprints on used 1c, 4c & 10c issues, also 1c & 6c issues with Saltillo 1886 date stamp cancels without overprints showing Saltillo P.O. stop this practice by then, also includes "Chiapas" overprint on 10c on cover and used 1c single; condition mixed with cover in exceptional condition, F.-V.F. overall.

Mexico, 1884 Hidalgo issues, Melcher's Successors & Bartning Company perfins. 5 used singles and on post card; Melcher's Successors "M" perfin on 2c tied on post card from Mazatlan to New York "pr City of Topeka, via Guaymas" and 50c single, Bartning "B" perfin on 2c, 6c, 12c & 50c issues; condition mixed, Fine overall, a nice group from the first Mexican firms to use perfin stamps.

Over 60 covers and cards and dozens of stamps mounted on display pages in binder; Hidalgo issues with a nice range of usages including foreign including stationery items, handmade 'postal card', high value mix frankings, study of the 1884 1p-10p high values with 1p imperf between, multiples, 5p mint and two used singles & two used 10p singles, Numeral issues with many certified and registered usages, postal stationery, many different railroad usages, mixed and combination frankings, official mail, section of the scarcer 1887 ruled line issues including on cover usages and a off cover study with multiples and the range of perf variations, also a few later issues on cover; condition mixed, F.-V.F (no photo).

Approximately 50 covers and cards and dozens of mint & used off cover on display pages in two binders; on cover including a nice range of town postmarks including many scarcer, combination frankings, foreign destinations, only known 2c bisect on official mail, postal card usages and some mint stationery items, including used 5c postal card with inverted indicia, Wells, Fargo Y Cia, off cover includes postmark study, 2p blue mint and used multiples, trials, etc.; condition mixed but well above the norm, F.-V.F (no photo).

Approximately 30 covers and cards and about a dozen stamps; includes page of 1c on 2c Colima "Provisional" issues with issue varieties, on cover usage and forgeries, also letters to and from the creator of this provisionals J. Escalante, other covers with many good destinations including Belgium, Italy, San Marino forwarded to Montenegro, Nova Scotia, Wells Fargo, 1884, 25c bisect tied by railroad postmark, some photocopy reference, etc.; an interesting group, F.-V.F (no photo).
