Horizontal strip of 5, separated between 2nd and tearing into bottom of 3rd stamp, on 5c entire to Augusta, Maine, tied by red "Mataga" in circle handstamps with matching "Matagalpa, Mar 22, 1893" cds, reverse with Corinto and New York transit date stamps, Very Fine.

Paying the internal rate to Callao on 1870 cover to Fall River, Mass., in combination with Great Britain 1867, 6d violet paying the transit from Callao to Panama, both stamps canceled by "C43" barred oval handstamps, "Payta, Sp 24, 70" origin cds, "Panama, Sp 30, 70" transit cds and "N.Y. Steamship, 10, Oct 13" integral rate cds; cover tears and small portion of backflap missing, F.-V.F., a very rare combination usage from Payta; with 2005 S. Sismondo certificate.
