1852, 1¢ blue, type II, horizontal strip of three. Positions 12-14L2, huge margins to into at upper left, positions 12-13L2 showing the big plate crack variety running between pair, tied by manuscript cancel on cover to Warren, N.H., "Hillsboro, N.H., Jan 12" cds alongside, Very Fine and choice, a wonderful and rare on cover example of this prominent plate crack, especially so in a multiple; with 2004 P.F. certificate.

1852, 1¢ blue, type II + 3¢ dull red, horizontal strip of three. Tied by two strikes of "New York, Jul 15" cds's on 1857 cover to Quebec, Canada, receiving postmark on reverse, Very Fine.

1852, 1¢ blue, type IV + 3¢ dull red. Tied by grid cancels on a 1853-55 6¢ green Nesbitt entire addressed to Bethlem, Conn. with clear Murphy's, Cal. cds, the 3¢ has a strong natural pre-printing paper fold and the 1¢ has a large sheet margin at left, F.-V.F., an unusual way to make the 10¢ transcontinental rate.
