York, Oct 23" cds alongside, light red "U. States" in arch additionally tying 1¢ stamp, Very Fine, an extremely rare accepted bisect usage in combination with other stamps, the only known usage paying in part the 10¢ express mail rate, ex Chase; with 1972 R.
