Confederacy, 1863, 10¢ blue. Slightly in at top, tied "Newnan, Ga. Jul 17" cds on wallpaper cover of gray, cream, puce and burgundy design addressed to "Hon A. H. Stephens (Vice President) Richmond, Va." where it was forwarded with an octagonal boxed "Forwarded. 10" and "Richmond, Va. Jul 24" cds to Crawfordsville, docketed on back that father inquiring about his soldier son who was wounded at the battle of Gettysburg, top back flap missing, slightly reduced at top and tiny edge tear, Very Fine, a spectacular usage.
