Confederacy, 1863, 10¢ blue. Large margins, neatly tied by "Montgomery, Ala." cds on Adversity cover made from printed form & with colorless embossed corner card at top left of Commission Merchant, Extremely Fine and attractive, a lovely adversity usage with embossed corner card advertising.

Confederacy, 1863, 10¢ blue. Four large margins, tied by town marking on buff cover to Raleigh, N.C. and forwarded to Huntsville with "Raleigh" double circle postmark & two strikes of "Due 10" handstamp, Extremely Fine and attractive.

Confederacy, 1861, 5¢ green, Stone 2, unofficially rouletted. Horiz. pair, tied by "Baton Rouge, La." cds on small Ladies' cover to Richmond, Va., cover slight reduced at top with piece added, stamps slightly affected by reduction & left stamp with small scuff at top (cert. calls this a "short transfer"), Fine, a wonderful rarity of which only a couple are recorded; with 1995 P.F. certificate.

Two singles (minor flaws, cert. notes right stamp creased), tied by "Richmond, Va./Apr. 3" ('64) cds on Trans-Mississippi Express Cover to Rocky Mount, La., routing endorsement "Per Express Via Brandon, Miss." at bottom left, cover soiled with minor edge wear & reduced at right, Fine, a very rare cover & one of only a handful franked with the 20¢ value, ex-Shenfield, Meroni; with 1983 P.F. certificate.
