Clear strike of red cds on Samoa 1896 1d carmine on pale green message card to Berne, Switzerland, uprated with 1895 ½d purple brown tied by "Apia, Samoa, Jun 16, 97" cds, receiving postmark and "With Reply Card." imprint crossed out, Very Fine, a very rare postal card usage.

New Zealand, N.Z. Marine P.O., R.M.S. "Monowai", 31 Dec, 96. Clear strike of red cds on backflap of cover to Ringwood, England, franked with Samoa 1892 2½d rose tied by "Apia, Samoa, Dec 30, 96" cds, receiving backstamp, cover with small edge tears and file fold affecting marine postmark, F.-V.F., a very scarce marine post office postmark used for only a short time between December 1896 and May 1897.
