Oval date stamp tying 1899 5c dark blue on printed express agent cover to El Paso, Texas, additionally franked with U.S. 2c carmine tied by purple "Wells, Fargo Y Cia, El Paso, Tex., May 12, 1908" oval date stamp, Very Fine and choice, a rare express combination usage.

Mexico, Wells, Fargo & Co., Mexican Coast and California Express. 5 U.S. entires; 1861, 3¢ entire with "25¢" frank and two 10¢ entires with 35¢ frank, used as part past-ups with blue Guaymas oval date stamps, 1870 10¢ unaddressed entire with blue La Paz, Mexico date stamp and a 12¢ entire with "$1.40 "frank addressed to Wilmington, Cal., F.-V.F.

Mexico, Wells, Fargo Y Cia Express, Mexico, Jul 30, 1885. Two strikes of purple oval date stamp on 1885, 12c Hidalgo entire to Lisbon, Portugal, with green company frank and red "½ oz. ã Europa exclusivamente - 20 ctvo." imprint at top, reverse with El Paso & New York transit and Lisbon receiving cds's; internal cover cut and some tone spots affecting indicia, F.-V.F., the only known Wells Fargo express usage to Portugal.

Mexico, Wells, Fargo Y Cia cover collection, 1886-95. Over 60 covers mounted on display pages in binder; excellent range of various town date stamps and franks throughout, including "Columbina" franks, usages to the United States with destinations including San Francisco, Sabinas to Kildare Station, Ind. Territory with routemaster handstamps and railroad routing, negative seal postmarks, messengers, part paste-ups to Europe, etc.; virtually no duplication in material, mixed condition however well above the norm, F.-V.F (no photo).

Over 80 covers and dozens of stamps and cut squares, mostly mounted and annotated on pages in two binders; mostly unused entires with a nice range of used including 1898 usage to Paris, France from Lagos, Sonora to San Francisco with routemaster handstamps, railroad usages, paste-ups, etc., mint including various entires and express franking combinations, revalued franks of both the Mulitas and Numeral issues; an excellent collection for the specialist, F.-V.F.
