Canal Zone, 1904, 8¢ on 50c bister brown, "PANAMA" in rose brown. Stage V printing, complete sheet of 100, o.g., 18 stamps hinged, others never hinged (including #14d & #14e), includes position 26 "CANAL" in antique type (14d) and position 48 "ZONE" in antique type (14e) as well as other minor Scott unlisted varieties, sheet fresh with rich colors, some perf separations at bottom, F.-V.F., a magnificent and extremely rare sheet, with only 10 sheets printed this is one of only one or two intact sheets that still exist.

Canal Zone, 1904, 8¢ on 50c bister brown. Position 41, "8" in type B, bottom stamp in vertical pair, full slightly tropicalized o.g., very well centered for the issue, wide margins around, bright color and quite fresh, Very Fine and choice, a beautiful example of this great Canal Zone rarity and one, if not the finest of the 5 issued, of which only 4 are recorded, grossly undercataloged in Scott ($7,600 for singles); with 2003 P.S.E. certificate.

Canal Zone, 1926, 2¢ carmine, sharp "A". Tied to 1928 Byrd Antarctic Expedition real photo picture postcard by special cancels; postcard appears to show one of the men on the Expedition and the message regarding expedition going through canal and stopping in Colon, Very Fine and scarce.
