Hawaii, Honolulu, Hawaiian Islands, Nov 14. Red cds (MH 236.11, rarity 2) on cover to lieutenant on the U.S.S. Mississippi in San Francisco, "San Francisco, Cal., Dec 8" cds with matching "Ship 6" clam shell rate handstamp; minor cover edge repair at bottom right, Very Fine.
Estimate    $200 - 300.

Most likely sailed aboard the Boston in 1853 leaving Honolulu on September 21 and arriving in San Francisco December 8.

Allen, small ink erosion holes at top and reduction at left, otherwise F.-V.F.
