Hawaii, 1871, 6¢ yellow green. Tied by segmented target cancel on 1877 cover to Bremen, Germany, in combination with U.S. 1875, 5¢ blue tied by circle of wedges cancel, reverse with "Honolulu, Hawaiian - Islands, Nov 6" cds (MH 243.03) and "blue Hackenfeld & Co., Honolulu, Oct 25, 1877" senders cds; small cover and perf tone spots, F.-V.F., a rare usage of the Honolulu postmark as a backstamp used on mail going through the U.S. to foreign countries; with 1965 P.F. certificate.

Hawaii, 1878, 6¢ bluish green. Tied by segmented target cancel on cover to Ware, Mass., red "Honolulu, H. I., Paid All, Oct 9, 1877" rimless cds and magenta San Francisco transit date stamp, cover with small tear and a couple of tape stains on edge at top, otherwise Very Fine, the earliest known usage of the 6¢ bluish green on cover, ex Hani.

Tied by segmented target cancels on legal size cover to Cambridge, Mass., "Hilo P.O., Post Office, Sep 22, 1881" origin and violet "Honolulu, H.I., Pad All" transit cds's, transit and receiving backstamps; cover tears and reduced at right, Fine.
