Red River Packet Caddo No. 2. Red oval handstamp struck twice on 1854 New Orleans "Way" letter, the cover a 1853-55 3¢ Nesbitt entire, manuscript notation "send goods ordered within pr Caddo or first Boat", entire with slight over all aging, Very Fine, pictured in Simpson-Alexander, ex-Eggen.

Cahawba, Alabama Pictorial steamboat marking. Full strike in red on ca. 1852 folded letter sheet, matching "5" rate handstamp; letter sheet reduced at top, central file fold repair and cleaned, otherwise Fine, still a very fine strike of this very rare pictorial handstamp used by the Cahawba, Alabama postmaster.

Steamer Cherokee. Perfect strike of elaborate illustrated handstamp on 1853-55 3¢ Red Nesbitt entire to Tuscaloosa Ala., embossed stamp cancelled by "Tuscaloosa Al. Jan. 11" circular datestamp on arrival, some overall wear including waterstaining at bottom left, Very Fine and attractive, a lovely strike of this rare marking, only three examples of this marking are recorded. Milgram No. 212.
