N.O. & Red River Steamer Texas, Confederate State Usage. Large oval lightly struck in blue on July 22, 1861 cover to New Orleans, also two strikes of the large "Steam 7" used until the fall of New Orleans in April 1862, representing the 5¢ Confederate postage unpaid plus the 2¢ fee paid to the boat, Very Fine, a very rare exhibition item, pictured in Milgram, ex-Eggen.
