Envelope, 1854, 3¢ red, die 5, illegal cut-out. Tied by bold grind on cover with lovely strike of "Hartford, Vt." postmark alongside, Extremely Fine and choice, a scarce cut out which passed through the mails undetected, ex-Chase with his notes on reverse.
