Hinckley & Co.'s Express, Denver City, Jan 11, 1861, mostly clear postmark on cover addressed to Golden City, Washington Territory and readdressed to Jefferson Territory (Colorado under Kansas territory), franked with 1857, 3¢ dull red tied by blue grid with matching "Alton, Ill., Dec 29" origin cds at left, endorsed "Via Hinckley & Cos Express from St. Joseph" at lower left; stamp edge flaws and cover slightly reduced at left, F.-V.F., a very scarce usage to the unofficial territory of Jefferson.

Holladay Overland Mail & Express Co., company business cover to Nat Stein, a Holladay Express agent at Virginia City, Montana with an introduction from Ben Holladay to Brigham Young (per docketing, letter gone), franked with 1861 3¢ rose tied by "A.J.C., New York, Feb 16, 1863" company cds, endorsed "Stage Business" at lower left and "from Ben Holladay" at right which has been erased, F.-V.F.

Hunter & Co.'s Express, double line oval handstamp on the Mokelumne Hill, Saturday, April 24, 1852 edition of the Calaveras Chronicle newspaper, paper contents including Southern Convention, The Late Jenny Lind, Two Men Hung at Coloma, etc., F.-V.F.

Lamping & Co. Express/Downieville, oval handstamp on 1864-65 3¢ Nesbitt entire with black company frank to San Francisco, carried to Marysville, where Wells, Fargo & Co. took over transmission of the cover to San Francisco & applied their blue oval handstamp of Marysville, small 3mm tear at top affecting frank, Very Fine, premium strike of this usually average strike of Lamping.

From Noisy Carrier Mail, boxed handstamp on buff cover to New York franked with horiz. pair 1851 3¢ orange brown (large margins to just shaving frameline at bottom left) tied by bold "San Francisco" cds, Extremely Fine, a gorgeous cover & pair of the 3¢ orange browns, ex-Lehman, Haas; with 2007 P.F. certificate.

Noisy Carrier's Mail, 77 Long Wharf, S.F., Cal., full bold blue-green strike of forwarder boxed handstamp on cover to New Bedford, Ma., franked with 1851, 3¢ dull red pair tied by "San Francisco, Cal., Aug 1" cds; light staining around stamps and cover wrinkling, F.-V.F., an outstanding strike of the Noisy Carrier fancy box handstamp.

Stone, Seattle, W.T., Apr 26, 1894" agent date stamp with matching "Send Shipping Receipt and Invoices by Express Same Steamer" instructional handstamp, reverse with large "Please Answer by Northen Pacific Express" handstamp, faint San Francisco express date stamp of May 1; light cover soiling, F.-V.F.

Offices of Gregory's Express…, red 8-line corner card type handstamp reading General Office 280 Montgomery St. - San Francisco - J.W. Gregory, Proprietor & Manager - Sacramento City to Stockton - G.E. Clark, Agent, New York: Corner Wall and Pearl Sts - Thompson & Hitchcock, Agents, on cover to Sacramento City, with matching "Not Paid" oval handstamp alongside, Very Fine for this, this being one of two reported examples known of this handstamp, ex Dale - Lichtenstein.

Per Overland Mail Stage, Via Los Angeles, illustrated four horse drawn stagecoach design with "Geo. B. Hitchcock, San Francisco" imprint on cover to Tennessee, franked with 1857 3¢ dull red tied by San Francisco cds, two small cover nicks at top, one of which just touches design, Very Fine and rare, a very rare cover of which only two or three examples are know with 3¢ paying the correct rate for under 3000 miles.
