W. E. Singer & Co.'s Feather River Express, double line oval handstamp with matching "Free" in circle handstamp on cover to San Francisco, in conjunction with blue "Wells, Fargo & Co., Express, Marysville" oval handstamp, Very Fine, ex Knapp, Dale - Lichtenstein.

W.E. Singer & Co.'s Feather River Express, clear blue oval handstamp at top of a right half portion of the San Francisco, February 8, 1855 edition of the Daily Placer Times and Transcript newspaper, paper articles including The Overland Daily Stage Line, inside portion of margin with manuscript "California, Overland Mail Route" endorsement; paper with a few light tone spots, otherwise Very Fine.

Wells Fargo & Co's, California Express and Banking Company, San Francisco, large blue oval handstamp on large part of upper portion of the San Francisco, Saturday Morning, July 25, 1857 edition of The San Francisco Herald newspaper, paper with the various shipping and steamboat advertisements below handstamp; paper with tears and slightly brittle needing some restoration, F.-V.F., the known copy of this handstamp was used on top of the front page of a 1857 San Francisco Daily Globe newspaper, this quite well could be second known surviving example of this express and banking company handstamp.

Wells Fargo & Co., Coburn (early name for Truckee) blue oval datestamp (Leutizinger Unlisted Town Type 11-9) on 1864 3¢ pink entire with company frank at top, to Dutch Flat, with enclosure datelined "Truckee August /69"; cover reduced at right into indicia and light stain at upper left stamp, otherwise Fine, still a very rare usage of the Coburn date stamp used from Truckee soon after change of town name from Coburn Station, the only known Coburn Wells, Fargo & Co. date stamp.

Wells Fargo & Co. Express, New York, Apr 11, blue cds on 1861, 10¢ green on buff entire to San Francisco, with red printed company frank at top, entered the mails with "San Francisco, Cal., May 5, 1862" cds with matching target cancelling; cover file fold and small tear at upper right, F.-V.F., a very scarce east to west coast usage of a red frank entire, ex M. Metkin.

Wells Fargo & Co., Gold Run, Nov 17, blue oval datestamp (Leutizinger Type 11-9) on 1870 3¢ 1870 Reay entire to Gridley's Station, CPRR (Central Pacific R.R.), company frank at top, original enclosure datelined "E. Gap, Nov 15th, 1870"; cover soiling and slightly reduced at left, a Very Fine strike, scarce.

Wells Fargo & Co. Express, Los Angeles, full clear strike of blue oval handstamp on 1855, 10¢ Nesbitt entire to Virginia, red printed company frank at top (2nd type), entered the mails with "New York, Aug 12" cds; minor cover wrinkle, Very Fine, a very rare usage of the Wells, Fargo & Co. red frank from Los Angeles, later covers from this correspondence were carried via the Butterfield Overland route, ex M. Metkin.

Wells Fargo & Co., Markleeville, Sep 10, blue oval date stamp (Leutizinger Type 11-9) on 1861 3¢ pink on buff entire to San Francisco, black company frank at top, enclosure datelined "Mt. Bullion, Alpine Co., Cal., Sept 8th, 1864" regarding mining matters including; "Thornton is a man that I believe that will stoop to any mean low life trick to make a dollar."; few tiny cover tears at top, still Very Fine, scarce town with fine letter.
