(Nevada) Truckee Meadows, Nev., Apr 26, town postmark on ca. 1868 cover to Newport, R.I., franked with 1861, 3¢ rose tied by fancy pinwheel cancel, endorsed "Overland" at bottom left; large cover tear thru address and stain, Fine, a very scarce Nevada town (Gamett and Paher Rarity 10).

(New York) Albany, straight line postmark in lower case (21x4mm) on 1793 folded letter sheet to New York City, matching "Paid" in circle with manuscript "30" rate and "30/ IA" Bishopmark; minor breaks at folded edges, otherwise Very Fine, an ususal type, rate and usage.

(New York) Fire Island, N.Y., 2 covers with similar postmarks; one on 1863 cover franked with 1861, 3¢ rose canceled by central grid, other franked with 1870, 3¢ green tied by grid, also a 1855 East Hampton, N.Y. manuscript postmark cover franked with manuscript canceled 1851, 3¢ dull red, Very Fine and choice, a nice Suffolk county group.

(New York) New York, Nov 10, clamshell postmark and manuscript "1" rate on 1800 folded letter dated at Stockbridge and addressed to a street address in New York City, letter mentions that it is to be carried privately, F.-V.F., the one cent drop rate rarely appears on such letters at New York during this period.
