Confederacy, Hamburg, S.C., Nov. 7, Paid, cds tying superb 1861, 10¢ light milky blue Paterson (large even margins including bottom sheet margin) on turned cover; inside use is franked with gorgeous top sheet margin pair of 1861 5¢ blue lithographs (vertical pre-use crease on right stamp) with pen canceled & manuscript postmark of "Churchview Va November 14th 1862", Extremely Fine, a wonderful adversity use of great beauty.

Confederacy, Hardeeville, S.C., March 3 (1862), manuscript postmark on folded letter franked with manuscript cancelled 18615¢ green, Stone 1 (close to mostly large margins) to Columbia, Ga. excellent 3-page letter from very well written and articulate soldier headed "Blueville Camp Elliott 1st" describing camp life in detail and fascinating detail of their marching with heavily laden wagons followed by 2nd company and then 3rd company of "Black guards or Darkies", Very Fine and choice, a fine letter full of first-hand information of military on the march.
