Confederacy, 1861, 10¢ blue, Strip of three + single, paying a quadruple rate, minor stamp faults including horizontal crease, tied by neat "Lexington, Va" cds Nov 24 and matching grids on homemade cover to Columbia, Va., included is a second Lexington cover from the same correspondence bearing a tied #12, Fine and rare, some biographical information included, with 1979 C.S.A. certificate, Ex-Gilbert.

Confederacy, 1861, 10¢ blue, two singles (Paterson) in slightly different shades, tied together by large balloon cancel of "Lovingston,Va." on legal size cover addressed to Massie’s Mills Via Arrington with annotation that it contained a "will", thus the 20¢ rate. 2000 CSA Certificate stating "stamps with faults (and) envelope folded down at right and with vertical crease at center left". A pair of #2 catalogs $950 in 2007 Scott, Fine.
