Confederacy, 1863, 10¢ blue, two singles, both with large to huge margins tied by "Eagle Pass, Tex" cds on 1864 folded letter from Piedras Negras, Mexico to San Antonio, Texas; couple small cover tears, Very Fine, a spectacular land blockade usage from Mexico to San Antonio entering the C.S.A. mails at Eagle Pass.

Confederacy, 1863, 10¢ blue, large margin single tied by Staunton, Va. cds on ladies cover to surgeon at hospital in Danville, Va., forwarded to Way Side Hospital in Lynchburg with "Danville, Va., Jun 14" cds and matching "FREE" straight line handstamp, Very Fine, a rare free forwarding usage.

Confederacy, 1863, 10¢ blue, large margin single manuscript canceled on homemade turned cover to Aspinwall, Va., manuscript "Gary's Store, April 4th" origin postmark, inside sent back to Gary's Store franked with 1863-63, 10¢ blue with blue manuscript cancel (may not be contemporary) and "Aspen Wall Va., July 11" manuscript postmark; cover stains and flyspecking effectively tying stamps to cover, Fine, a rare adversity usage from these small towns.

Co." with powerful address of "Capt Powhatan Ellis, A.A. General, Care Gen Cleburne's Armey of the Mississippi", couple edge tears at left which do not detract, Very Fine, a pristine, handsome use.
