Confederacy, Fayetteville, N.C., Apr 10, 1863, double circle town pmk tying 1861, 5¢ bright green (large even margins) on pristine cover addressed to "Capt. Peter Mallett, 3rd Reiment N.C. S.T. near Goldsboro, NC", second strike at left, most likely an error in the year date on the cover as was very common for Fayetteville (the rate should have been 10¢ and was more than likely 1862), Extremely Fine.
