Perfect strike of fancy cancel on 1861, 3¢ rose affixed on yellow cover to Illinois, matching "White House Station, Apr 8" cds alongside; cover at left and lower right portion of stamp expertly restored from opening, Extremely Fine appearance, a lovely and rare on cover usage; with 1998 P.F. certificate. Skinner-Eno No. PH-F37.

Fancy Cancels on the 1861-67 3¢ Rose. Lot of 83 covers all franked with 1861 3¢ rose with various different fancy cancels including Stars, Numerals, Letters, Geometrics, Masonics, Shields, Rosettes, Grids, etc., included is a wonderful strike of the Albany "Lincoln", however the stamp is trimmed & cover toned, few grilled issue covers present, mixed condition, Fine, a great lot for the specialist & worth inspection.
