Tied by "San Francisco, Cal., Jan 19" cds on cover from British Columbia to San Francisco, additionally franked with B.C. & V.I. 1865 3d blue, horizontal strip of 3 (Sc. #7, clipped perfs) overlapped by U.S. 10¢, canceled by barred "10" oval handstamps of Williams Creek; cover slightly reduced at left, F.-V.F., a marvelous and very scarce combination usage; with 1988 P.F. certificate.

Two 2¢, three 10¢, and one 2¢ bisect used to make the 35¢ rate on 1866 cover to Switzerland, manuscript cancels, faint red and blue Aachen Franco transit markings, the cover has overall wear, sealed tear at top and half of the reverse is missing, Fine appearance.
