1851-52, 3¢ brownish carmine, type II. Position 41-42L1L, horizontal pair with part imprint, full o.g., slightly disturbed at left, large margins to just shaving frameline at top left, very fresh with rich vibrant color, Very Fine and choice, a lovely mint pair; with 2006 P.F. certificate.

Positions 52-57L1L, large margins to just in at top right, tied on folded letter sheet to Baltimore, Md. by "Wheeling, Va., Nov 3" cds's with additional strike alongside; cover slightly folded down at sides, Very Fine, a very scarce multiple franking paying six times the three cent rate.
