Hawaii, (1853), Honolulu/OCT 20/U.S. Postage Paid. Red circular date stamp on 1853 docketed cover to Leonard Fisher in Johnson, Vermont, with "San Francisco Cal. 10 Nov." cds in black, faint "PAID 8 SHIP"; some edgewear, still attractive and Fine; said to have been carried aboard the Zoe, only 4 covers recorded from this sailing including the 5¢ Missionary cover to Reynolds and the only prepaid cover recorded.

Clear red cds on 1854-55 cover to East Freetown, Mass., "San Francisco, Cal., May 16" cds with matching straight line "Ship" and "12" rate handstamps, with original lengthy 4-page enclosure datelined Ship Geo. Washington Bound to Cape St. Lucus, November 12th, 1854, interesting whaling content regarding hunting sperm whale, heading for the Ochostok Sea (off the Siberian coast), Very Fine.
