Wonderful illustrated design on 1853-55 3¢ Nesbitt entire additionally franked with 1851 1¢ blue + 3¢ dull red pair paying the 10¢ rate to Hawaii, indicia cancelled by "Cambridge, Ind." cds & adhesives cancelled by fancy geometric, some edge wear affecting adhesives, Fine, a unique design & usage.

Bills & Thayer/Manufacturers of Crystal Palace Mills Extra Fancy & Superfine Flour. Stunning embossed cameo corner card in brown showing design of the Crystal Palace Building on cover franked with 1851 3¢ dull red (just in at right) tied by neat blue "Troy, N.Y." cds, insignificant flap tear, Extremely Fine and choice, a lovely cover, a similar cover from the same correspondence with green cameo, sold in our Washington 2006 sale for $4,250, plus buyer's premium.

New York Crystal Palace. Two folded covers, each franked with 1851 3¢ dull red single tied by New York 1853 year date postmark, the first is tied by "New - York/Jul. 16, 1853" postmark, the second is dated "Jul. 22", both stamps creased, Very Fine strikes.

(1869 Iowa State Fair) Iowa State Fair/1869/J.M. Shaffer, Sec'ty. Oval handstamp on lemon cover to Alton. Ill. franked with 1869 3¢ tied by target cancel with "Fairfield, Iowa/Dec. 17, 1869" double circle postmark alongside, small cover tear at top left, Very Fine, a scarce early Fair cover.

Bold postmark (Bomar C82-01) on cover franked with 3¢ Bank Note, cancelled by segmented cork, cover reduced at right, F.-V.F., a very nice usage of this rare postmark during the 10th Cincinnati Industrial Exposition, only 3 recorded.

Cds (Bomar C86-01) on 1886 cover franked with 2¢ Bank Note cancelled by segmented cork, backstamped with Mansfield, Ohio arrival, reduced at right just affecting adhesive, Very Fine, a unique example of this Exposition marking used in 1886.

Star duplex cancel, slightly reduced at right, Extremely Fine.
