Confederacy, Chattanooga, Ten., Nov 7. Cds used as a "Rover" Army of Tennessee Field Cancel tying 1863, 10¢ blue, Archer & Daly printing on homemade cover to Washington, Ga.; cover missing backflap, otherwise Very Fine.

Cover is dated after the fall of Chattanooga to the Union (September 9th) during the time when the Chattanooga postmaster was traveling with the Army of Tennessee and using this handstamp to service the army mail.
