[aide-de-camp], Americus, Ga., franked with 1863, 20¢ green (large margins except just touching at left), tied in combination with 1863 10¢ greenish blue, die B (pre-use crease) by "Milledgeville, Ga." cds; inside addressed to "Oglethorpe, Ga." (no franking), edge flaws and two vertical file folds, otherwise a Fine & Rare Triple-Rate Semi-Official Cover.

Confederacy, Executive Department Cover addressed by Jefferson Davis. Type I Semi-Official imprint on cover franked with an 1863 2¢ brown red (clear to large margins) tied by choice strike "Richmond, Va./Sep 26" cds to "Hon. Henry Marshall, M.C. from Louisiana, Richmond, Virginia", on the back Davis has written "Keep until Congress meets—"; Extremely Fine and choice.

Henry Marshall of Louisiana was a Delegate to the Confederate Provisional Congress, 1861-62 and a Representative in the Confederate Congress, 1862-64. He died on July 13, 1864.
