Ty." cds, and large margin straddle pane pair (73) tied by Portland, Or. cds on 1865 cover to Fort Walla Walla, W.T. (missing backflap), Fine, a scarce group; Washington territorial cover with 1996 P.F. certificate.

In combination with 1861, 3¢ rose + 10¢ yellow green on 1864 cover to Picton, Canada, cancel by target handstamps with matching "Esmeralda, N.T., Mar 23" cds, red straight line "Paid" and "15" in octagon handstamps, transit and receiving backstamps; stamps with some defects and cover slightly reduced at left, F.-V.F., a rare Nevada territorial usage from this town paying the 15¢ treaty rate to Canada for over 3000 miles, ex H. Spelman.
