1863, 2¢ black. In combination with 1861, 3¢ rose + 1862 5¢ Certificate Revenue, two singles, overlapping and tied by Maltese cross cancels on 1866 cover to Brunswick, Germany, "N. York Hamb. Pkt., 3, Jun 22" debit exchange cds and matching boxed "Short Paid" handstamp, blue German "6½" due handstamp, Brunswick and Hamburg backstamps; cover slightly reduced at top & back reattached, Very Fine, rare attempted use of revenues to prepay part of 15¢ Bremen Hamburg rate; with 2009 P.F. certificate.

1863, 2¢ black. Affixed over 1861, 2¢ Bank Check Revenue issue, in combination with 1861, 1¢ blue, all tied by blue "Norwalk, O., May 30, 1864" cds and target duplexes on cover to Athens, Mich., with original enclosure regarding people in Kansas being murdered by the rebels; stamps with some perf toning and 2¢ stamp lifted and hinged in place to show revenue, F.-V.F., an interesting attempted illegal usage of a revenue stamp.

Collection of 32 documents and 3 on piece items; including 9 different bank check usages, various promissory notes and receipts including 1864 receipt with 2¢ Blackjack tied by "Perkins' Express, Exeter, N.H., Jan 5, 1865" handstamp, several railroad documents including the Pittsburgh, Fort Wayne and Chicago Railway Co., multiple usage, 1865 quit claim deed with portions of 2¢ Blackjack used as a seal, etc., F.-V.F., a remarkable holding of revenue usages.
