Liberia, 1880, 1¢ Ultramarine, Block of 4. Affixed on reverse with right pair folded over cover, in combination with 1880, 12¢ yellow paying the double 8¢ rate on cover to Easton, Md., all canceled by six bar grid with "Bassa, Liberia, Apr 1, 1883" cds (CP.6) on front, red Liverpool transit and reverse with partial New York entry and receiving postmark tying block; light cover toning and cover opened at sides for display, otherwise Very Fine, an Exceptionally Rare 1¢ Multiple Usage and Combination Franking, ex Maris.

Liberia, 1880, 1¢ Ultramarine, Two Horizontal Strips of 3 and Pair. Strip on front with second strip wrapped around to reverse with pair, all canceled by six bar cancels (most likely from Monrovia) on cover to Northford, Conn, one stamp tied by partial postmark on reverse., additional "Via England" routing endorsement and reverse with red "London, Fe 9, 86" transit postmark; some stamp gum staining and cover opened at right severing strip, Fine, an exceedingly rare multiple franking of the 1880 1¢ Ultramarine.

In combination with 1880, 6¢ lilac on cover to Hamburg, Germany, canceled by six bar handstamps with matching "Monrovia, Liberia, Oct 25, 1887" cds (type CP.8) below, reverse with "Hamburg, 23/11, 87" receiving cds; right 1¢ with a few defects and small cover tear at top, F.-V.F., a scarce usage to Germany.

In combination with 1880, 6¢ violet, stamps dwarf cut to imperf., tied together by six bar cancels on registered cover to Heidelburg, Germany, matching "Monrovia, Liberia, Mar 11, 1881" cds and two strikes registry boxed date stamps (type CR.1), British transit date stamps and blue crayon "Coln" routing tying 2¢ with appropriate etiquette, receiving backstamp, Very Fine, a very early registered usage to Germany with registry date stamp used two years earlier than recorded.

Woermann printed address cover to Hamburg, Germany, tied together by six bar cancels with matching "Monrovia, Liberia, Apr 3, 1886" cds's below, receiving postmark on reverse; some cover edge wear and left three stamps with small defects at top, Fine, a very rare multiple franking usage, ex Mavis.
