Accumulation of several hundred covers, generally California related, some with illustrated advertising or interesting corner cards, the range of subjects including automobiles, petroleum & gasoline, railroads, hotels, wine growing, etc; also note some Wells Fargo covers with company franks, ephemera including nice illustrated letterheads, 1870's Lake County bonds, some real photo postcards, California town cancels, etc; worth careful evaluation by the "eBayer" and bourse dealer, condition generally F-VF or better.

Dewey tied alongside George Washington 2¢ red; Uncle Sam "Bound For Cuba", mostly flag type cachets, several "Presidio, Cal." cancels; several "all-over Flag" cachets, Soldier's Letters; etc; condition F-VF or better, please examine, F.-V.F. lot.

Pearl Harbor Naval Covers, 1934-1941. Remarkable collection of 55 covers virtually all with ship cancels, most with special cachets, all among the 101 ships in Pearl Harbor on December 7th; also including a censored cover with Army & Navy Y.M.C.A., Honolulu, "illustrated corner card cancelled at 11 AM on Dec. 7, 1941" with Honolulu cds; another "War Declared" cachet postmarked Washington, D.C. Dec 8 1941 and a First Trip cachet for Empire State Express with R.P.O. duplex dated "Dec 7 1941"; each cover with written caption describing the damage during the attack: i.e. "Arizona (BB39), sunk with loss of 1104 personnel".
