1847, 5¢ red brown. Ample to large margins, bright color, tied by red Fancy Scarab handstamp on 1849 folded letter to Franklin, N.H., matching "St. Johnsbury, Vt. Apr 10" cds at left, Very Fine and attractive, one of the few fancy cancels found on the 1847 issue; with 1992 & 2007 P.F. certificates.

1847, 5¢ red brown. Large margins all around, pinpoint indentation on right" 5", tied by red square grid with matching "New-York Mar. 1" cds on buff cover to Great Barrington Mass., also with red "Paid" handstamp applied by Swarts, Very Fine; with 1979 P.F. certificate.

Aug 21" cds and matching "5" rate handstamp, Very Fine, a rare usage of this elusive fancy postmark, ex Knapp; with 2007 P.F. certificate.
