Stampless Cover Group. Of 5 covers; includes 1785 Boston to New York letter with manuscript "3.8" pennyweight/grains rate, 1841 Baltimore to John Adams in Boston with "Ship" & rate crossed out (free frank), 1801 New York clamshell postmarks and 1825 Lebanon, Pa. cover with half rate paid to Philadelphia, also includes a 1756 document with Massachusetts III pence embossed tax stamp; condition varies.
