Fancy Buffalo Steam-Boat Postmarks, 1830-1851. 21 covers, most stampless, and all bearing strikes in red or blue of the fancy "Steam-Boat" in scroll, as well as various types of the double oval "Buffalo", some with additional "Free" handstamp or rate marking; several are franked with imperf 3¢; attractive lot.

1862-70 Transatlantic Covers. 12 covers franked with the 1861-69 issues; includes 24¢ single and double frankings to England, couple 10¢ N.G.U. rate covers to Germany with #96 frankings, one with fancy shield type cancel, three 15¢ French treaty mail cover each with different frankings, another "Insufficiently Paid" with 2¢ Blackjack, F. grill, #71 paying the 30¢ P.C.M. rate to Germany, 21¢ British Closed Mail to Italy (missing stamp), #116 on cover to Germany & #68 to Nova Scotia; condition varies, couple certs accompany.

1865-69 Treaty Mail to France Carried by the French Line. Exhibition collection of 30 covers mostly written up on display pages; a good showing of U.S. rates and exchange postmarks as well as French Line octagon including "Breast 2" in red and blue and the four numbered paquet handstamp sets, many stamped covers including nice scarce 1867, 30¢ F. grill on double rate cover, 15¢ usages including grill pair, 1869, 15¢ type I single usage, section of stampless multiple rates, etc.; well worth careful evaluation.
Estimate    $2,000 - 3,000.
