(Nebraska) Fort Kearny, May 23 [1854], Paid 3. All in manuscript, on a very late pre-territorial cover to Maine; the Territory of Nebraska came into existence just one week later, on May 30, 1854, so this would have been the last pre-territorial mail dispatch from Fort Kearny, F.-V.F. and scarce.

Truckee Meadows, Nev., Mar 9. Clear cds on cover to Newport, R.I., franked with 1861, 3¢ rose, pair tied by target handstamps, 1866 year docketing at left; cover edge wear and slightly reduced at left, still a Very Fine strike, a very scarce Nevada town (Gamett and Paher Rarity 10).

Orford-Ville, N.H. Arc Cancel. Nicely struck with manuscript date inside, on cover franked with 3¢ dull red (close margins to just in top left), with characteristic "Paid 3" handstamp, to Lowell, Mass.; cover with ink stain from cancelling pad, otherwise Very Fine (no photo).

New Providence, N.J., Nov 14. Full clear strike of fancy ornate oval postmark on 1845 folded letter sheet to New Brunswick, N.J., with additional manuscript "6 Way" rate at top; small cover nick at top, otherwise Very Fine.
