Folded letter with blue "Philadelphia, Pa., Jan 23" cds and red "Phila 5cts Paid" octagon rate handstamp uprated with manuscript "21", straight line "Paid Part" handstamp, intended to be sent by British open mail at 21¢ but sent by the 20¢ Bremen mail with red "America, Uber Bremen" handstamp and red crayon "3" for German inland, reverse with red "New York, Jan 24" cds, Very Fine.
